Thomas J. Thurlow

Thomas joined Mairs & Power in 2025 as a senior fixed income research associate. In his role, Thomas is responsible for analyzing credit, market trends, comparable yield and duration, and relative value between different sectors for corporate, municipal, and Treasury fixed income securities. He also assists in recommending securities for purchase and sale, trading securities, and developing management systems in coordination with the fixed income team and other stakeholders within the organization.

Before starting at Mairs & Power, Thomas was a fixed income associate analyst at The Travelers Companies in St. Paul, Minnesota. His corporate research spanned sectors such as aerospace & defense, consumer staples and discretionary, and utilities. He also covered municipal credits primarily in Texas and Tennessee.

Thomas is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and holds a BSB in Finance from the Carlson School of Management and a BA in Classics from the College of Liberal Arts.

In his free time, Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife, Catherine, and their boisterous son, Oliver. He also enjoys running, biking, reading, and going out to local breweries and restaurants with friends.
