Michael J. Alden

An equity trader and assistant portfolio manager at the firm, Michael supports multiple Investment Managers by assisting with account review, trading, and investment account rebalancing based on model portfolios and client specifications. He is also responsible for updating models, rebalancing accounts and implementing strategy changes. In 2024, Michael assumed the role of assistant manager responsible for the day-to-day management of the equity trading team.

His career began at The Hartford as a Financial Analyst in Fund Accounting and later in Trading and Pricing. He then worked at Cornerstone Capital Management as a Financial Associate in Investment Operations. 

Michael is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - River Falls where he earned a BS in Business Administration and Finance.

Michael enjoys helping friends and family with "hands-on" projects like building a deck, refinishing a basement or whatever task a loved one needs. He also enjoys spending quality time with Amy, his wife, and Wren, their dog. He is also an avid outdoorsman.
