Brent M. Williams

Brent joined Mairs & Power in 2018 as a compliance officer before being promoted to compliance manager in 2021, assistant chief compliance officer in 2022, and chief compliance officer and legal counsel in 2024.

Brent started his career in compliance as an anti-money laundering and enhanced due diligence analyst with U.S. Bank and worked at Värde Partners, Inc. as a compliance analyst.

Brent earned his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Brent serves as a member of the Board of Directors and the Governance Committee for Gilda’s Club Minnesota, a nonprofit organization for people with cancer, their families and friends. Local chapters provide meeting places where those who have cancer, their families, and friends can join with others to build emotional and social support as a supplement to medical care.

Brent lives in Minneapolis with his partner, Kei, and their two pets (one cat and one dog). They can be found enjoying local restaurants or taking in a show at one of the many theaters in the Twin Cities.
