Brent S. Miller, CFA

Brent has served as lead manager for the Minnesota Municipal Bond ETF since its inception in 2021 and became co-manager for the Mairs & Power Balanced Fund in 2024. In his role, Brent analyzes credit, performs security analysis, monitors market trends, conducts equity research and financial analysis, and performs relative value analysis for security selection primarily across corporate, municipal, and treasury securities.

Brent joined Mairs & Power in 2019, was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2021 and Vice President in 2024.

Prior to joining the firm, Brent was a Fixed Income Analyst at The Travelers Companies in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he worked for seven years.

Brent holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He is a CFA charterholder.

Brent has been a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA) since 2012 and has served on the Board of Governors. He chaired the NFMA national conference in 2023 after serving as co-chair in 2022. Brent is also involved with the Minnesota Society of Municipal Analysts, where he has been a member since 2012 and has served on the Board since 2018, having held the roles of Treasurer, Vice President, and President. In addition to these roles, Brent serves on the board and is chair of the investment committee for the True Friends Foundation, a Minnesota nonprofit organization providing life-changing experiences that enhance independence and self-esteem for children and adults with disabilities.

In his free time, Brent can be found running around Saint Paul, traveling the country to hike and explore, and enjoying all the Twin Cities has to offer (e.g., biking, playgrounds, culture, food) with his wife and three children.
