Location: Hybrid Environment (3 days in-office work required)
Summary:
This position provides investment and financial advice to high net worth individual and institutional clients. Key responsibilities include overseeing the portfolio management process, developing client relationships, and partnering with internal and external resources to deliver outstanding service. While not responsible for conducting fundamental research, must be able to clearly and concisely communicate Mairs & Power’s investment perspectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates clear understanding of clients’ investment objectives, risk tolerance, and overall financial profile to develop a plan to achieve those goals through strategic management of financial assets.
- Experience implementing and managing modeled portfolios of individual equity and fixed income securities.
- Maintains awareness of the latest economic and financial trends to ensure client portfolios remain in alignment with stated objectives and goals.
- Understanding and ability to communicate specific stock or security information.
- Interfaces with research analysts and the investment team to maintain an in-depth understanding of investment process and philosophy, portfolio construction, account positioning and related risk factors.
- Partners with Client Advisors and Client Service Associates to implement financial and estate planning strategies, provide ongoing communication and coordinated service to clients.
- Develops and maintains external networks and referral sources to ensure ongoing growth of business.
- Implements investment policies, procedures and actions developed as a member of the Investment Committee.
- Operates with the framework of governing account documents, Investment Committee policies, federal (SEC) and state statutes, and departmental compliance policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties or special projects assigned.
Skills:
- Investment management experience with discretionary portfolios for individual, family, and institutional clients.
- Familiarity with investment and workflow related software packages or applications such as Factset, Clearwater, Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong collaborative team approach.
- Willingness to travel.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- Master’s degree or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in wealth management and/or financial advisory services with demonstrated ability to develop and manage investment accounts, financial plans, and maintain client relationships.

Your pay may include two components: base salary and variable pay. While base pay applies to all employees, variable pay is offered to employees as an annual target bonus range based on a range of factors that include, but not limited to, your position, your individual performance in the role, and firm profitability.
The applicable salary range for this full-time role is $175,000 - $225,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors. To ensure that our pay remains aligned with our desire to remain competitive, we benchmark pay and benefits with other companies that are comparable in size and scope.
